Christine L. Collard

Christine L. Collard went home into the loving arms of the Lord on August 3rd, 2022.  Loved by all who knew her, she was “mom” and “memaw” to many in the community. 

Christine loved her family dearly. She leaves behind 4 children: Rob (Lisa) Hayes of Tallahassee, Florida, Connie (Chuck) Hack of Hadley, NY, Christy Holmes of Lake Luzerne, NY, Patty Persutti-Fortune of Glens Falls; Stepsons: Mark (Mary) Holmes, Wade (Sonja) Holmes; six grandchildren: Nathan, Caleb,and Benjamin Hayes of Tallahassee, Florida, Grayson Hack of Hadley NY, Janie and Avery Holmes of Lake Luzerne NY, Isabella Colon of Glens Falls, NY; brothers and sisters: Bruce (Linda) Hayes, Kathy (Marv) Tuthill, Michael (Kim) Gilles, Rod (Sherry) Gilles, Fred Gilles, David (Karen) Gilles, Jon (Cheryl) Gilles, many nieces and nephews: Dodie Hayes, Tommy and Destiny Deschaine, Annaliza (Jerry) Vonfricken, Logan Alejandro and Isabella Vonfricken. 

Christine is predeceased by her parents: Mary Lou Hayes of Lake Luzerne, NY, Robert and Fran Hayes of Lake Luzerne, NY, and sister Deborah Hayes of Colorado Springs, Colorado. 

Christine’s favorite pastimes included traveling adventures with her family and visiting the ocean. She loved working at the Lake George Steamboat Company and enjoyed helping open and manage Sweeties Cafe in Hadley. She loved live music and going dancing with her friends. Above all, she loved her family, and spending time with them was her greatest treasure. She will be greatly missed. 

A memorial will be held to honor her life at Sweeties Cafe, 13 Park Avenue Extension, Hadley, NY on Monday August 8th at 4pm.
