Charles J. Finnerty, Age 87, passed away on May 1, 2025 after a brief illness. He was born in Brooklyn, New York the only son of the late Charles E and Helen (nee Zawyski) Finnerty.
Charles had a wonderful career as Title Examiner for the New York State Department of Law in Albany, New York for over 30 years. His hobbies include reading, history, geography, lighthouses, literature, language, listening to Big Band music and watching The Rangers and Yankees!
He will be missed by his family and friends for his kindness and truly being a wonderful father.
He has now joined his beloved wife Rosemary of 51 years and his son Roger
In eternal life. He is survived by his children: Shelly McLaughlin of Lancaster, PA, Philip Bacon (Tari) of Glens Falls, NY, Elizabeth Krieger (Keith) of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, David Bacon (Gigi) of Newburgh, NY, Patricia Pratt of Hudson Falls, NY, Thomas Bacon of Corinth, NY, Wijittra Finnerty (Roger), Melbourne, FL, Grandchildren: Theresa Roy, Rachel Wittensoldner (Jason), Jeremiah Allen, Nathan Allen (Emily), Cassandra Bacon, Kelly Krieger, Todd Krieger, Sarah Pratt, Stacey Pratt (Tracy), Great-Grandchildren: Sebastian, Xander, Abigail, Atticus, Logan, Silas, Alexander and Emerson.
In keeping with Dad's wishes he will be laid to rest at Luzerne Cemetery, Lake Luzerne, NY on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at 1 p.m.
