Carol Hurlburt Obituary

Carol passed away peacefully on Sunday June 28th, after a lengthy battle with recurring cancer.  She was born on February 22, 1964 to William and Muriel (Thompson) Beaulien in Queens NY. As a child, Carol spent the summers at the family cabin in Lake Luzerne where she met Anson Williams, whom she married in 1984. Together they share two children; Anson II “Bobby” and Emily. In 2004 Carol moved to Bullhead City Arizona, where she eventually met and married Mr. Fred Hurlburt. In May of 2025 she returned to New York to live with her son in Hadley.

Carol's favorite hobby was crocheting, and over the years she crafted many beautiful items for family members and friends. She truly cherished her friendships and enjoyed spending time with the many people with whom she had grown close over the years.  She enjoyed a variety of card games, with Royal Rummy being her favorite. She was always eager to teach people the game, and then win all their nickels.

Carol was predeceased by her parents and husband Fred.

She is survived by her children; her sisters: Nancy Hummel (Dale) of Doylestown Pennsylvania, Susan Beaulien of Los Angeles California, and brother, Charles (Rona) Beaulien of Kendall Park NJ, along with many nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Carol's wishes there will be no services at this time.  The family would like to give a special thanks to: the staff at Glens Falls Hospital, Community Hospice, everyone who has kept Carol in their thoughts and prayers, and a very special thank you to her ex-husband Anson Sr, who has gone above and beyond to help Carol over the last year - getting her to and from appointments, helping keep her comfortable, and by being a part of her life, cheering her up while attending to any needs she had.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The American Cancer Society or C.R. Wood Cancer Center at Glens Falls Hospital.
