Bonnie Lou St. John, adored by all as Omma, 72, of Jay St., passed away suddenly, Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at Glens Falls Hospital following a brief illness.
Born on December 1, 1950, in Corinth, she was the daughter of the late Hollis and Blanch (Hayes) Wood, Jr.. She was a graduate of Hadley Luzerne Central School.
Bonnie had a strong work ethic and worked at American Tissue in Saratoga Springs. She was the first female manager at the plant. She then worked as a papermaker at International Paper Company for many years until the mill in Corinth closed. She then put her skills as a caregiver to work as a C.N.A. at Wesley Health Center. The title she was most proud of was that of mother and grandmother. She was extremely proud of her family and her life centered around her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed researching her genealogy for her family.
She was a devout catholic and was a communicant of the Church of the Holy Infancy in Lake Luzerne for many years.
She is survived by her beloved sons: Joseph (Katilynn) St. John of Queensbury and Jerrad St. John of South Glens Falls; her cherished grandchildren: Danielle, Gary, Joseph, Trever, Taylor, Jarred, Keagan; treasured great grandchildren: Morgan, Easton, Liamya, Vinny, JoJo, Bentley and her very special great granddaughter and BFF, Cali; her siblings: Winnona (Roger) Sitts of Corinth, Wanda (Mike) Mabbitt of Hadley, Hollis (Sharon) Wood III of Hadley and Teresa (John) Fiore of Corinth; many nieces, nephews, cousins and many more she called her own.
