Lake Luzerne
Bonnie L. Glasheen, 82, of Gailey Hill Rd., passed away Friday, February 14, 2025 at Saratoga Hospital with her family at her side.
Born on March 3, 1942 in White Plains, she was the daughter of the late Karl and Elsie (Mackie) Reichlein.
She married Daniel Glasheen III on May 5, 1962. Dan passed away on May 6, 2023. Together, they enjoyed 61 years of marriage.
Bonnie worked as a nurse at Peekskill Hospital for several years. Following her husband’s retirement in 1994, they moved to the home they had built in Lake Luzerne. Together they opened, owned and operated Bon’s Ice Cream and Adirondack Miniature Golf until they sold in 2022.
She enjoyed running the business with Dan. Most important to Bonnie was her family. She was a member of the Somers Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and the Hadley Luzerne Lions Club.
She is survived by her children, Lori (Mike) Lovell of Somers, Nancy (Frank) Giusto of Fishkill, Daniel (Jennifer) Glasheen of Wappingers Falls and Janet (Tyler) Gagnon of Garrison; eight grandchildren: Megan (James), Michael (Han), Patrice, Amanda (Matt), Joey, Stacey, Daniel, and Alexa; great grandchildren: Zia, Bradford and Ian Daniel (soon to be born).
Friends may call from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, February 23, 2025 at Brewer Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Church St., Lake Luzerne.
Committal services will be conducted 10 a.m., Monday, February 24, 2025 at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, where she once again be where she was happiest - by Dan’s side.
