Bill J. Gagnon

Bill J. Gagnon, 70, of Wilton, NY passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 1, 2023, at Wesley Health Care Center in Saratoga Springs.

Bill was born January 21, 1953, in Saratoga Springs.  He was the son of the late Francis and Pauline (Stefo) Gagnon.  He graduated from Saratoga Springs High School in 1972.  Following high school, he spent time travelling out west with friends, skiing the high peaks.  Bill returned home to Saratoga Springs to start his career as an electrician, and he worked in the trade until his retirement in 2019.  Bill married Catherine (Farone) Gagnon in 1978 and together they raised 3 sons.

Bill enjoyed time with his family and supporting his sons’ sporting events.  He loved airplanes and would frequently bring his boys to local airports to watch them.  He also loved attending airshows, especially to watch the Blue Angels and Thunderbirds perform. 

Bill is survived by his three sons Noah Gagnon and his wife Leighann of North Grafton, MA, Nathan Gagnon and his wife Kelly of Wilton, NY, and Niles Gagnon and his wife Sarah of South Glens Falls, NY; 7 grandchildren: Cody, Cory, Casey, Conley, Drew, Blake, and MacKenzie Gagnon; his sister Lynda Harmon of Peoria, AZ, his brother Francis (Linda) Gagnon of Leland, NC, and his brother Glenn (Susan) Gagnon of Mount Holly, NC, and other extended family.

Special thanks to the nurses and staff at the Rubin Dialysis Center of Saratoga Springs, where he received care for the last 10 years, as well as the staff at Saratoga Hospital, Albany Medical Center, and Wesley Health Care Center in Saratoga Springs.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to the Rubin Dialysis Center (checks payable to DCI Inc) located at 59C Myrtle Street Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.

In keeping with Bill’s wishes, services will be private.
