Lake Luzerne
Barbara K. Green, 85, of Lake Luzerne, died following a lengthy illness on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at her daughter’s home in Batavia.
She was born November 26, 1940, in Saratoga Springs to Melvin and Evelyn (Denton) Kenyon. Mrs. Green lived most of her life in Corinth, where she graduated from Corinth High School. She worked for more than 40 years at International Paper’s Hudson River Mill, retiring from the accounting department.
In 1983, she married Robert D. Green. The couple later moved to Lake Luzerne, where they became active in the community as members of the Lions Club and devoted themselves to genealogy and local history. Together, they walked and documented every grave in each cemetery in Lake Luzerne, compiling a detailed record still used by funeral directors, genealogists, and local historians.
Mrs. Green was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Robert D. Green; her sister, Brenda J. Merchant; and her son, Thomas P. LeClair Jr.
She is survived by her daughter, Colleen (Edward) Flynn of Batavia; three grandchildren, Conor (Ann Dillon) Flynn of Orchard Park, Patrick (Meghan) Flynn of Schodack Landing, and Celia Flynn of Hamburg; two great-granddaughters, Clodagh and Fiadhna Dillon Flynn of Orchard Park; and several cousins.
Calling hours will be 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Brewer Funeral Home Inc., 24 Church Street, Lake Luzerne. A funeral service will immediately follow visitation.
Spring burial will be in Corinth Rural Cemetery, Corinth.
