Augusta E. Ulrich

Augusta E. Ulrich, 92, of County Route 10, passed away at her home, Friday evening, January 26, 2018.

Born on March 28, 1925 in Edinburg, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Clara (Muellenhaupt) Tange. Augusta's father had a large strawberry farm. She would help with the berry harvest and was paid $.10 per quart in Mercury dimes that she still had at the time of her death.

She was born into a sawmill family and married into a sawmill family. She was happiest when she was in the sawmill, helping her son. She did this until she was 91. She picked strawberries, cherries and blueberries until 2017.

Augusta enjoyed rug braiding, rug hooking, and her flowers. She especially liked family gatherings. She will be remembered as a tough lady who always spoke her mind.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband of 56 years, Konrad "Kurt" Ulrich; her daughter, Marcia Sunde; two sisters, Vivian and June.

Survivors include two sons; Walter Ulrich of Hadley, Herman (MaryJane) Ulrich of Corinth;a daughter, Clara Ulrich of Rotterdam; five grandchildren, Karen Ulrich, Heidi Pasos, Sandra Willis, Erin Doane and Josef Ulrich; her great grandchildren, Abigail Ulrich, Robert Ulrich, Charles Ulrich, Samuel Willis, Marietta Willis, Theodore Willis, Alicia Pasos, Lillian Pasos; two sisters, Bertha and Beulah; several nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Augusta's wishes, there are no calling hours or funeral services scheduled.

Burial in Corinth Rural Cemetery will be at the convenience of her family.
