Anna Mae (Durking) Klein, formerly of Indian Lake, passed away Saturday morning, May 16,
2026, in St. Louis, MO surrounded by family.
Born on October 4, 1945, in Indian Lake, she was the daughter of the late Roland M. and
Willena Rose (Eldridge) Durking. She was a 1963 graduate of Indian Lake Central School.
Anna Mae married Lawrence Klein on April 4, 1964. They resided in Indian Lake until 2009,
when they relocated to West Virginia. They moved to Missouri on December 28, 2017, to be
closer to their daughter and her family.
For many years Anna Mae worked as a housekeeper and cook at Hemlock Hall in Blue Mountain Lake.
She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family.
Anna Mae was predeceased by her parents; siblings and their spouses: Morris Martin Durking
(Jean), William Hosea Durking (Mary Jane), Milford T. Durking (Jackie), Rose Marie Seymour
(Bill), Wilma Jean LaDuke (Carl) and a nephew, David Durking.
Survivors include her loving husband of 62 years, Lawrence Klein; their daughter, Michelle
(Chris) Wiemann; granddaughter, Stephanie (Mason Streeter) Wiemann; nieces and nephews:
Pamela (Guy) Howard, Peggy (Joe) Caroll, Patricia (Don) McConkey, William (Rebecca)
Seymour, Tammy (Larry) Hedrick, Rhonda Cushaw, Jennifer (Chris) Davis, Anne Rega, Janet
Molick; and a grand dog, Roo.
There are no services scheduled.
Burial will be in Cedar River Cemetery, Indian Lake, at the convenience of the family.
