Angela Lunz Obituary

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Angela L. Lunz, a beloved wife, mother, educator, and spiritual leader, who died peacefully at home on November 15th, 2024, under the luminous glow of the Supermoon. Angela, 79, of Call Street, Lake Luzerne, leaves behind a legacy woven from threads of compassion, wisdom, and unwavering faith.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, on March 18, 1945, to Joseph and Victoria (Scaturro) Pace, Angela's life was a testament to her dedication to learning and service. She earned master's degrees in both education and divinity, reflecting her deep commitment to enriching the lives of others. Her career as a special education teacher touched countless young lives, a testament to her patience, understanding, and unwavering belief in the potential of every individual. Later, she answered a higher calling, serving as an interfaith minister at Glens Falls Hospital, providing pastoral care and spiritual comfort to patients and their families during times of vulnerability and need.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Angela possessed a vibrant spirit and a wide range of interests. She was an avid reader, a passionate leader of the Silver Fox book club, and a dedicated teacher of Metta meditation at the Rockwell Falls Library, sharing her love of knowledge and inner peace with her community. Her creative talents shone through her sewing, baking, and painting, while her deep fascination with Native American crafts and spirituality, alongside her study of Eastern philosophy and Christian mysticism, enriched her life and the lives of those around her. Prayer was a cornerstone of her existence, and she actively participated in numerous prayer circles, fostering a sense of community and shared spirituality.

Angela’s memory will be cherished by her devoted husband of 52 years, Joseph B. Lunz; her children, Pamela (Reinaldo) Medina of Queensbury, Alexander (Lauren) Lunz of Queens, and Joseph J. Lunz of Lake Luzerne; and countless others whose lives she touched with her kindness, wisdom, and unwavering faith. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Frank Pace.
