Long Lake
Adele Williams, 95, passed away Thursday morning, November 20, 2025, at Garden Gate Health Care Facility in Cheektowaga, NY.
Born on November 18, 1930, in New Brunswick, NJ she was the daughter of the late Addison and Lilian (Humphreys) Hagar.
She married Arthur Williams on September 4, 1954, in New Brunswick, NJ. Arthur passed away on April 14, 2013, following 58 years of marriage.
Adele worked for many years as assistant director Operations and Finance at Rutgers University. She and Arthur moved to Long Lake in 1992. She had volunteered her time at the C.V. Whitney Long Lake Public Library.
Adele had sung professionally part time and acted with the Scotch Plains players. She played and taught piano.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, one son, Mark Williams; siblings: Robert Addison Hagar and Maxine Love Varker.
Survivors include two sons: Gary (Dana) Williams of Fishers, IN and Scott (Stephanie) Williams of Upper Black Eddy, PA; six grandchildren: Ryan, Meghan (Tyler), Addison (Aryn), Pryce, Eryn, and Nicholas; great grandchildren: Walker, Sutton, and Arthur Drew; several nieces and nephews.
Private burial was in Long Lake Cemetery.
A memorial service will be held at a date and time to be announced.
