So sorry for the loss of such a great guy.  He looms large in my childhood memories, but we had some fun as adults too!  I'll fondly remember his house parties and the Adirondack Carolers!  Love to the family from the Burton Girls...

Darla, Robin, Bob, and Mary Ann,   William always enlivened the Queeney -Vadney household, weekends, parties and Lake activities & Xmas tree decorating dinners; remember the smoked turkey ?  the times we spent in NorthHampton ( ? Roosevelt Drive ) and political activism !   incredible to think how the time has passed; John has been gone eight years...  all the best to each of you; ever need a stop on a visit, always welcome, Fondly, lisa queeney-vadney

Lisa, I am just reading this now. Bill truly enjoyed spending time with you guys. I miss my brother every day, but I dream of him often and know he is around me watching out for his little sister!! - Robin

Darla, Robin, Bobby and all the family I am so sorry to hear of Bill’s passing. I have always had Bill’s birthday marked on my calendar and think of him every year when his birthday rolls around. I remember coming up to the house for get togethers when Aunt Mick, Uncle Bill and Gram were still alive...some picnics, fishing on the dock, going out on Bill’s pontoon boat and getting caught in a downpour. Bill was always so good to me...said he finally had a female cousin when I married Rick...I hope he knew that I would always be his cousin no matter what. I had so many questions I wanted to ask him about the Davis family I never got to ask... I hope you didn’t suffer Bill...you were too nice a guy to have to suffer. I love this picture of him...just the way I’ll always remember him. RIP Bill...love you always.

Why did it take me all this time to see this lovely post? Debbie...so nice of you. He WAS a great guy and I miss my big brother terribly...still, 3 years later...and will always miss him. The house on the lake was the best! I couldn't have asked to grow up in any better place. I too have fond memories of all of you coming to visit and having a BBQ. Take care. xo - Robin

Bill was as nice as his obituary says. I worked with him for years in politics and if he had a fault, it was he tried too hard to help people. May God hug Bill upon his arrival at the pearly gates.

Thank you for your condolences and kind words. Bill continued to follow politics and remained a staunch conservative up to the very end. When I visited him in Albany Med that’s all we talked about! 💙
