William J. Cirillo

Lake Luzerne

William J. Cirillo, 51, of Fenway Dr., passed away Tuesday evening, August 7, 2018 at Glens Falls Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on April 8, 1967 in Bayonne, NJ, he was the son of Anthony M. and Nancy (Canning) Cirillo. Bill moved to Lake Luzerne with his family in 1979.  He was a 1985 graduate of Hadley Luzerne Central School where he was a standout linebacker and Co-Captain of the Varsity football team as well as a member of the All Star Team.

Bill married Tammy Weiss on May 30, 1992 at Immaculate Conception Church (Holy Mother and Child) in Corinth.

He began working with his father at Cirillo’s Auto Service while in high school.  He continued working alongside his father, brother, and more recently, his son, Drew at the garage.

Bill enjoyed camping, vacations in Myrtle Beach and Disney World and was an avid NY Yankee and NY Giants fan.  He was very involved in the Luzerne –Hadley – Day - Stony Creek Little League having served as a coach, vice president and president.  He enjoyed attending car shows and was proud of his 1966 Ford Custom.  He attended Rockwell Falls Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his loving wife of 26 years, Tammy Cirillo; two sons: Darren Cirillo and Drew Cirillo both of Lake Luzerne; his parents: Anthony and Nancy Cirillo of Lake Luzerne; two brothers: Anthony Cirillo of Lake Luzerne and James (Patti) Cirillo and their sons, Patrick and Jonathan of Queensbury; his mother and father –in-law, Sandra and Ed Bennett of Hadley as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Brewer Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Church St, Lake Luzerne.

Funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m. Monday at Rockwell Falls Presbyterian Church, 7 Bridge St., Lake Luzerne.

Burial will be in Lynwood Cemetery, Hadley.
