Virginia “Ginny” L. King, 72, of Rte. 9N, passed away Sunday morning, December 16, 2018 at her home following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on September 14, 1946 in Corinth, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Elsie (Michelfelder) Plummer.  She was a 1964 graduate of Hadley Luzerne Central School and had attended Mildred Elley Business School in Albany.

Ginny was employed as office manager at Roaring Brook Ranch, Lake George for 38 years.

She enjoyed playing golf at Bend of the River Golf Course and baking.  Above all, Ginny loved her family and cherished the bond she had with her granddaughters.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Timothy King; a sister, Elise Minkler; a brother, Raymond Plummer.

Survivors include her daughter, Michele (John) Nichols of South Glens Falls; Michael (Alicia) Podwirny of Hadley; three beloved granddaughters, Colleen Podwirny, Heather Podwirny, Anika Podwirny; a sister-in-law, Sandy Plummer of Hadley; a brother-in-law, Jerry Minkler of Galway; several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at Brewer Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Church St., Lake Luzerne.

Funeral services will immediately follow at 8 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Flossie Gage Bates, officiating.
