Ruth Ginsburg Lichtman, formerly of Glens Falls, passed away peacefully March 25, 2019. She was the daughter of Sarah and Samuel Wolf. Born in Utica, she attended schools there and graduated from Syracuse University, Class of 1941.
In her early years in Glens Falls she served on the Girl Scout Council, Boy Scout Den Mother, Glens Falls Hospital Guild and was an active member of Temple Beth-El and the Sisterhood.
For 10 years she was associated with the Queensbury Hotel in Glens Falls and retired as Sales Director in 1987.
She was an avid sports enthusiast, enjoying golf over 60 years and tennis. She also was a duplicate bridge player and continued all these activities when she lived in Delray Beach and Boca Raton, Florida.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Martin A. Ginsburg, her second husband, Dr. Sherman Lichtman, one sister, Phyllis Wolf Movish, her daughter-in-law, Cindy Ginsburg, step daughter, Ellen Lichtman.
She is survived by her beloved son, Stuart L. Ginsburg of Saratoga Springs, beloved sister, Barbara Wolf Lacher of Boyton Beach, FL, nephew, Lewis (Kelly) Movish, stepson, Marc Lichtman and step grandchildren, Kaila Horan Schwarz and Gabriel Horan.
Interment and private graveside service were in Temple Beth El Cemetery, South Glens Falls.
