Hadley
Robert J. Locke, of North Shore Road, passed away at his home, Friday morning, November 15, 2019, at the age of 69.
Born July 16, 1950 at Corinth Hospital, he was the son of Harold and Jean (Reed) Locke. Robert graduated from Hadley-Luzerne High School in 1968. He served in the United States Navy as a hospital corpsman 3rd class petty officer x-ray technician from 1969-1973. Upon his honorable discharge, Robert worked for International Paper at the Corinth Mill as a papermaker until they closed in 2002. He was a member of the Quarter Century Club of the mill. He spent the next nine years working for AIM Services at the Kings Rd. house.
Robert married the love of his life, Brenda Lee Van Auken in 1976.
His hobbies included Tae Kwon Do, golf, watching New York football teams, and cooking.
Robert was predeceased by his father, Harold Locke and three brothers: Bruce, Kevin, and Stephen Locke.
Survivors include his loving wife of 43 years, Brenda Locke; their daughter Sarah (Steve) Snell; grandchildren: Cassie, Allie, Kenny, and Hannah; greatgrandchildren: Addison, Meya, and Laylah; his mother, Jean Locke (Reed); brothers: Lenard (Shelly), Kenneth (Jamie), and Herbert; sisters: Barbara(Ken)Cambell, Nancy (Phil) Imbarrato and Linda Waite (Wayne); and a sister-in-law, Debra Locke and a good friend Will Rukat.
In keeping with Robert’s wishes there are no calling hours or funeral services scheduled.
