It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Robert K. Flewelling on March 14, 2019.
Born on November 29, 1940 in Glens Falls, he was the son of Robert T. and Jeanne (Seybolt) Flewelling. He served as a Private First Class in the United States Army from 1960 until his honorable discharge in 1963 traveling to Germany and Amsterdam.
He was a member of the Labor Local 186 and later was a self employed carpenter and handyman.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his great granddaughter, Reagan Alice Bills; a grandchild, Baby Bowman; his sister, Joanne Durkee and a niece, Nicole Bernard.
Survivors include his loving wife of 47 years, Cheryl (Ballou) Flewelling; his children, Chandice (Bill) Bills, Kim (Paxton) Hunt, Brandy (Matt) Bowman and Robert Kenneth Flewelling; grandchildren: Courtney, Travis (Celeste), Tori, Callie and Marlee Bills, Nathan, Braeden and Makenna Hunt, Logan and Gavin Bowman; great grandchildren: Jianna, Olivia, Thatcher, Adaliah and Athena due to arrive soon.; siblings: Dot, Jack (Rose), Deb, Kathy and Pam; his in-laws, Fred (Hope), Paula (Bill), Sue (John), whom he thought of as his own; several nieces, nephews cousins and a close family friend, Margaret Prashaw.
Friends may call Sunday, March 17, from 1-3 at Brewer Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Church St., Lake Luzerne.
Funeral services will immediately follow the visitation at 3 p.m Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. Bill Harrington, Pastor of Solid Rock Assembly of God, Bolton Landing, officiating.
Burial will be later in the spring at Maplewood Cemetery, South Corinth.
