Stony Creek
Ramona Ann Thomas, 81, of Hadley Road, passed away Saturday afternoon, September 29, 2018 at her home following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on March 25, 1937 in Athol, she was the daughter of the late James H. and Julia (Beadnell) Mosher. She was a graduate of Warrensburg High School.
On December 10, 1955 she married Roger Thomas at the First United Methodist Church of Warrensburg. Together, they enjoyed 48 years of marriage until Roger’s death on December 4, 2003.
Ramona worked for many years cleaning the churches of Holy Mother and Child Parish. For many years Ramona was the Stony Creek correspondent for the Warrensburg News.
She enjoyed working in her yard, but above all, Ramona cherished the time she spent with her beloved family. Without fail, the entire family and friends would gather on Wednesday evening at her home for dinner. If you were a guest at Ramona’s house, you were gifted with many family stories and always given a tour of her home. You left knowing you were part of our family.
She was predeceased by her parent; her husband, Roger Thomas; an infant granddaughter, Lori Thomas; a sister, June Iva Maxam; a brother, Earl C. Mosher.
Survivors include her four sons: Jeffery (Carol) Thomas, Tom (Kim) Thomas, James (Sharon) Thomas and John (Wendy) Thomas, all of Stony Creek; one brother, James F. (Dorothy) Mosher of Thurman; grandchildren: Andrea, Nathan, Ian, Paul, James Jr., Christopher, Justin and Brandon; great grandchildren: Desiree, Vanessa, Rian, Michela, Nathaniel, Loucas, Charlie, Dillon as well as Immy, her “adopted” great granddaughter; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call Tuesday from to 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Brewer Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Church St., Lake Luzerne.
Funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral homes with Rev. Tony Lomenzo, officiating.
Burial will follow in Warrensburg Cemetery, Warrensburg.
