Margaret E. Geyer, 98, passed away peacefully at home on July 23, 2018.  She is now with the angels who watched over her everyday.

Margaret was born and lived in New York City for the first 95 years of her life.  In 1940, she married Edward Geyer at Grace Chapel in New York City.

She was employed by the New York City School System until her retirement.

She enjoyed bingo, pokeno, scratch offs, the penny slots and her nightly blackberry brandy.  When she was able to, she had gone on many tours around the United States and abroad.

Margaret was predeceased by her husband, Edward in 1973 and a granddaughter, Margaret O’Neal in 2015.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Margaret (Donald) O’Neal; her much loved grandson, David (Tammy) O’Neal; three beloved great grandchildren: Megan Tracy, Lisa (James) Barrett, Brian (Gretchen) Cutler; her special “Nessie”; several great great grandchildren.

Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Brewer Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Church St., Lake Luzerne.

Funeral Services will be conducted 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. Dick Osborne, pastor of Hadley Luzerne Wesleyan Church , officiating.

Burial will follow in Hadley Cemetery, Hadley.
