Louis E. Hoffman, 71, of Eddy Road, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at the Saratoga Center for Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing.
Born on July 8, 1947 in Englewood, NJ, he was the son of Louis and Helen (Smith) Hoffman. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
Lou was a self-employed carpenter, owning and operating Lou Hoffman Construction in Closter, NJ for many years.
He had owned a home in Hadley for nearly 50 years and made it his permanent home in 2011.
On February 10, 2017 he married Wanda Morehouse after 15 years being together.
His enjoyments included fishing, hunting and helping his friends and neighbors.
He is survived by his wife Wanda Hoffman; cousins Robert (Joyce) Boas and Michael (Norma) Marsilio; brothers-in-law, Richard (Loretta) Morehouse of Lake George, Edward (Butch) Morehouse of Lake George, Sister-in-law, Robin (Troy) Parker of Jacksonville, FL; step-daughter, Tanya Tardibuono and her children, Reonna and Niko of Hillsdale, NJ as well as his many friends in Hadley, NY and Closter, NJ.
In accordance with Lou’s wishes, there were no public calling hours.
Burial took place in George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ.
