Suzy and the whole extended Granger Clan, we were saddened to hear about your Mom's passing, but encouraged and inspired by the wonderful obituary you wrote for her. We believe, as you noted, that she's now enjoying her time in heaven with many of the others of her generation who served as great role models for us all. Take care and best wishes to all of you.

As other persons have shared, I too, read this obituary and was so impressed with its humor and kindness and love for family and have never before gone on line to comment on someone I did not know.  Sharing this with my brother during a phone conversation, he concluded that the family had to have some connection to the Albany Times Union locale and being the genealogy person he is, he looked up the family during our conversation..  He shared that Mr. Granger was from Green Island and some relatives lived in Cohoes and we had a tie to the family in Cohoes.  It really can be a small world.

I know this might be a little strange, but although I didn't know your mom or your family, I was utterly touched by her obit and felt compelled to write to you all.  This is a first for me.....not something I ever normally do, but your portrait of your mom was beyond vivid and compelling.  I WISH I had known her......what lucky children you were!!!  And what an amazing woman she was......  I was so moved by this biography of your mother.  Whoever wrote it has a gift, but I am sure it came from a deep place of love and gratitude and inspiration.  God bless you all.  Your mother has inspired me, a stranger, to strive a little harder.  What an amazing woman and an amazing life!  Words cannot express what she added to the world, but you came very close!  This was truly an inspiration to me, and I hope you all find comfort in each other and with your wonderful memories.  Know for sure that she is now your angel, powerful as she was in life, and with a bird's eye view of her beloved family, and all that comes next!

My heartfelt condolences,
Christine Hearst
