Gary W. Bogdan, 55, of Hadley Hill Road, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2019.

Born on November 7, 1963 in Amsterdam, he was the son of Edward A. Bogdan and the late Julia (Roberts) Bogdan.  He was a graduate of Broadalbin Central School.

On September 12, 1987 he married Patti Duell at Rockwell Falls Presbyterian Church in Lake Luzerne.

Gary worked for over 30 years as a Plant Utility Engineer for NYS Department of Corrections, Great Meadow Correctional Facility, Comstock.  He retired on November 7, 2018.  He also enjoyed working with his dad, brothers and nephews.

He was a Board president of the Rockwell Falls Ambulance Service (Luzerne- Hadley EMS) and a former coach of Corinth Youth Hockey. He was a member of the Sargent Pond Hunting Club, the Knights of Columbus and a communicant of Holy Mother and Child Parish.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, helping others and taking family vacations, especially to the beaches of North Carolina, South Carolina and Florida. He was a devoted husband and father who was extremely proud of his sons and the fine young men they have become.

He was predeceased by his mother, Julia Bogdan.

Survivors include his loving wife of 31 years, Patti Bogdan; his father, Edward Bogdan of Broadalbin; his sons: James (Odalis) Bogdan of Queensbury and Travis Bogdan of Hadley; his brothers: Timothy (Debra) Bogdan of Broadalbin, Michael (Lorraine) Bogdan of Broadalbin, Robert Bogdan of Mesa, AZ; Odalis’ son, Codan of Queensbury; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 at Brewer Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Church St., Lake Luzerne.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Mother and Child Parish, Corinth, with Rev. Ken Swain, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Blackwood Cemetery, Hadley.
