Catherine M. Lama, 91, passed from this life to her home in heaven on Thursday evening, November 1, 2018 at The Granville Center.

Born on September 9, 1927 in Pottstown, PA she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Helen (Malonak) Reahm.  

Catherine was devoted to the Lord.  She enjoyed reading, a glass of wine with a good book and going out to dinner.  She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

She was predeceased by her parents; a son, George R. Mace; a brother, Alfred L. Reahm, Jr.

Survivors include four children, Taff  (Jack) Fitterer of Indian Lake, Michael (Grace) Mace of Durham, NC, Elaine (Roberta) Lama of Saratoga Springs, Dianne (Terry) Johnston of South Glens Falls; a sister, Marion Ryan of Little Silver, NJ; grandchildren, Kevin (Marcela) Mace, Bonnie (Hank) Perry, Jonathan (Yolanda) Fairley, Amanda (Brian) Johnston, Dylan Johnston; Great-Grandchildren Maia, Thiago, & Elowyn (due 11/20/18); nieces and nephews, Ed Ryan, Sue Souto, Marianne Gillette, Karen Bonfield and Chris Ryan. She also had a very special bond with her Great nieces & nephews.

In keeping with Catherine’s wishes, there are no calling hours scheduled. She also requested that those in attendance wear cheerful, colorful clothing, as she had always believed that this is not a sad day, but a celebration of her return home to God.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Brewer Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Church St., Lake Luzerne.

A very special thank you to the amazing staff at The Granville Center. The nurses and entire staff went above and beyond to make sure Mom was happy and very well cared for. We are all grateful for their very compassionate hearts.

There will be a celebration of Catherine’s life immediately following the service at Sweet Basil Restaurant Queensbury N.Y.
