Corinth
Caroline E. Guilder, 91, passed away Sunday Morning, May 20, 2018 at the Pines at Glens Falls.
Born on October 3, 1926 in Hadley, she was the daughter of the late Labe and Florence (Ovitt) Shuman.
Caroline and her former husband, Kenneth, had owned and operated Ken’s Taxi for 8 years in Corinth and the Central Hotel in Corinth until it closed. She later worked for nearly 20 years at Native Textiles.
She was a member of the William J. Varney American Legion Post 862 Auxiliary, Lake Luzerne, where she had been a bartender.
Caroline’s enjoyments included bowling, playing pool, listening to country music and traveling.
She was predeceased by her parents; two sons: William Guilder and Kenneth “Butch” Guilder, Jr.; one grandson: Edward A. Mllington Jr.; one brother: Charles A. Shuman, Sr.; one sister: Marie Pidgeon.
Survivors include one daughter: Susan Marie Millington of Corinth; two sons: Thomas L. Guilder of Corinth and Geoffrey L. Guilder of Corinth; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call from 9 -11 a.m. Fridayat Brewer Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Church St., Lake Luzerne.
Funeral services will immediately follow the visitation, 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Corinth.
