Lake Luzerne
Alan K. "Bud" Morton, 66, of Gage Hill Road, passed away Tuesday morning, April 2, 2019 at his home.
Born on June 23, 1952 in Norwalk, CT he was the son of the late Alfred and Lillian (Dwan) Morton.
Alan worked as the parts manager at Dwan Auto park in Norwalk, CT. He moved to Lake Luzerne in 2010. He then drove the minibus for his sons business, The Adirondack Adventure Center.
His enjoyments included hunting, fishing (especially for Lakers and Salmon on Lake George), motorcycles and being in the outdoors. He was also an extremely talented wood carver like his father. He had a great sense of humor and loved his two cats (Nick Nack and Monkey) very much. The recent births of his two grandchildren had given him an incredible amount of joy.
Survivors include his sons: Dane (Jamie) Morton and Brent Morton, all of Lake Luzerne; two grandsons: Declan and Silas Morton; ex-wife: Elaine Morton of Lake Luzerne; siblings: Lynne (Robert) Branstrom of Norwalk, CT, Robin Palmer of Charlotte, NC, Scott Morton of Norwalk, CT; his long time companion, Carol Ann Glodey of Lake Luzerne; his long time, loyal best friend Gary Lecates of Bethel CT; several nieces and nephews.
