Hadley
Willard “Rocke” Bourdeau, 84, of Route 9N, passed away Friday morning, November 17, 2023, at Glens Falls Hospital.
Born on July 23, 1939, in Corinth, he was the son of the late Ralph and Lulu (Eastwood) Bourdeau. He was a graduate of Corinth Central School. Rocke served in the United States Army from 1963 – 1969.
Upon his honorable discharge from the Army, Rocke began his career at International Paper in Corinth. He was a member of the Quarter Century Club of the mill and retired from the mill as assistant supervisor of the hydroelectric dam.
Rocke enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing darts. He was an active member of the V.F.W. Post 5836, Hadley.
He was predeceased by parents, his loving wife, Sharon (Seaman) Bourdeau, his brother, Ralph Bourdeau and a sister Rita Elder.
Survivors include his children: William (Jessie) Bourdeau of Garfield, KY, Cheryl (Michael) Boyko of Melrose, and Matthew Bourdeau of Clearwater, FL; 12 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; siblings:Rose Butler of Corinth, Raymond (Anne) Bourdeau of Clemmons, NC, and George (Joanne) Bourdeau of Queensbury; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends may call Tuesday, November 21, 2023 from 4-7 p.m. at Brewer Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Church St., Lake Luzerne.
A celebration of Life will be held at the VFW in Hadley on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at 2pm.
Burial in Luzerne Cemetery will be at a later date.
