Virginia A. “Ginger” Bovee, 80, of Stable Dr., passed away, Wednesday January 24, 2024, at the Haynes House of Peace in Granville.
Born on June 10, 1943, in Fitchburg, MA, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Margaret (Feeherry) Horgan. She was a graduate of Fitchburg High School. She worked as the secretary at the courthouse in Fitchburg until she moved to this area in 1975.
She was a Real Estate agent for Schuh Realty in Lake Luzerne for several years. She was a dedicated foster parent for over 30 years.
Ginger enjoyed crossword and word search puzzles, Northwoods Beach, and enjoyed visiting Nubble Lighthouse in Maine.
She is predeceased by her parents and three brothers: Bernard, James and Edward Horgan.
She is survived by two sons: Thomas Bovee and Shawn Reber; one granddaughter, Elissa (David) Hammond; special foster children: Tanya (Mike) Smith (children: Marena and Rzonathan) and Misty Daniels; many dear friends.
A celebration of Ginger’s life will be held, Sunday, January 28, 2024 from 2-5 p.m. at the VFW Post 5836, 4109 Rockwell St., Hadley.
