Richard J. “Rick” “Rudy” Rudolph, 71, of East River Drive, passed away Friday afternoon, February 9, 2024, at Glens Falls Hospital.
Born on April 4, 1952, in Saratoga Springs, he was the son of the late Edward and Marvina (Luther) Rudolph. He was a graduate of Saratoga High School.
He married Carla J. Tyrrell on February 13, 1988, in Schroon Lake.
Rick worked as a machinist for over 30 years at International Paper Company in Corinth and later in Ticonderoga prior to his retirement. He then worked at Finch Pryun Paper in Glens Falls for several years.
Rick was an avid car enthusiast. He loved everything about cars, from making them, collecting them, fixing them, attending car shows. He enjoyed the people he met who also shared that passion. His other great love was his grandchildren with whom he shares a very special bond.
Survivors include his loving wife of 36 years, Carla Rudolph; one daughter, Renee (Casey) Carter of South Glens Falls; three grandchildren: Harrison, Jameson, and Jolene; one brother, Edward (Columbia) Rudolph of Saratoga Springs; several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Thursday, Feb. 15, 2024, from 5-7 p.m. at Brewer Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Church St., Lake Luzerne.
Funeral services will immediately follow the visitation at 7 p.m.
Rick’s “last ride” will be to Severance Cemetery, Schroon Lake, in the spring at the family’s convenience.
