Berniece L. Bordeaux, 83, died Thursday afternoon, January 4, 2024 at Glens falls Hospital.

Born on September 3, 1940, in Stony Creek, she was the daughter of the late Beecher and Margaret (Westcott) Colson.  She graduated from Hadley Luzerne Central School in 1958.  On October 23, 1965, she married Harold K. Bordeaux in Canaan, CT.

In her early years, Berniece worked at Sunset Valley, Thousand Acres Ranch, Corinth Shirt Factory, and the Tiki Motor Inn.

She was a lifetime member of the Stony Creek Historical Association and a past member of the Stony Creek Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.

Berniece enjoyed spending time with her family, her flower beds and genealogy.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband; a granddaughter, Felicia R. Bordeaux; brother, Gary Colson; sister, Beverly Potter.

Survivors include her three children: Rhonda (Jerome) Allison, Ronald (Wendy) Bordeaux all of Stony Creek, and Rodney Bordeaux of Glens Falls; a sister, Joan Thew of Greenfield Center; brother-in-law, Robert (Vivian) Bordeaux of Fort Edward; sister-in-law, Sandra Berg of Corinth; four grandchildren: Amanda Allison, Joshua Allison, Evan Bordeaux all of Stony Creek and Casandra Bennett of Lake Luzerne; five great grandchildren: Garrett, Shane and Ryder Carlton, Jesse Bennett of Lake Luzerne and Camdon Allison of Stony Creek.

Friends may call Monday, January 8, 2023, from 11 a.m. to 12 Noon at Brewer Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Church St., Lake Luzerne.

Funeral services will immediately follow the visitation at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Knowlhurst Cemetery, Stony Creek.
